Conflict, peace & security

The Conflict, Peace & Security unit produces cutting-edge work on violent conflicts, within and between states, and other global security challenges.
We focus on the causes, consequences and responses to such challenges.
Our research is applied as well as theoretical and we have extensive area-expertise covering the European Union and North African countries.
We study global threats and their impact on both the European Union and its counterpart south the Mediterranean. We study terrorism and violent extremism, international organized crime, inter and intra state conflicts.
