An International Summit on World Governments taking place in Dubai
In Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Egypt is participating in the World Government Summit 2023.
As stated on the summit’s official website, the summit’s theme is Shaping Future Governments. World-class experts, decision-makers, and thought leaders will share and contribute to developing tools, policies, and models that will shape governments in the future.
Over 300 sessions and 200 speakers will be featured at the world government summit. As well as 280 governmental organizations, it includes over 80 regional, international, and intergovernmental organizations.
Over 80 bilateral agreements and high-level meetings will take place, as well as 22 forums and more than 20 reports.
This year’s world government summit will focus on six main themes:
Achieving Development and Governance, the Future of Societies and Healthcare, Exploring the Frontiers, Governing Economic Resilience and Connectivity, Global City Design and Sustainability, as well as Prioritizing Learning and Work.
There will be several international officials and decision-makers at the world government summit. Speakers at the summit include H.E. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, and Idris Elba, actor, and UN Goodwill ambassador. The speakers at the summit will also include António Guterres who is the Secretary General of the United Nations, Arif Husain, the chief economist and Director of the World Food Program, as well as Ayman ElSherbiny, Chief of Information and Communication Technology Policies at the UN – ESCWA, in addition to Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary General of the Arab League, among other international figures and decision-makers.
In collaboration with governments, the private sector, and international partners, the summit engages in dialogue with experts and thought leaders. In addition to these forums, there is a global climate tech and policy forum, as well as a forum for women in government.
Awards are presented to innovators and pioneers from around the world at the World Government Summit as follows:
The Best Minister award, the Global Universities Challenge, and the World Data Visualization Award.
